Our Founder

Laura W. Gordon, CPA is founder and CEO of Gordon & Associates, An Accountancy Corporation, a boutique business management firm specializing in wealth management, tax planning and preparation, and small business development. 

For 30 years Laura has helped entertainers, professional athletes, small business owners, executives, and other high net worth individuals build wealth, protect assets and secure their financial future. 

Named among The Hollywood Reporter’s “Hollywood’s Top Business Managers” of 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 and Variety’s “Business Manager Elite” of 2020 and 2021, Laura began her career at SIMPSON & SIMPSON, LLP, a minority-owned firm of Certified Public Accountants, where she managed the tax and business consulting department. Inspired by the decade spent at SIMPSON & SIMPSON, LLP, Laura founded Gordon & Associates in 1992 where today she represents a variety of comedians, actors, writers, directors, producers, athletes, executives, recording artists and more. 

She later founded Gammy’s House, a philanthropic endeavor of Gordon & Associates inspired by her late grandmother, that invests in initiatives that foster equity in education and entrepreneurship to support the next generation of Black entrepreneurs.

Laura holds a bachelor of arts in economics from UCLA and masters of divinity from the King’s University Seminary. She is also a doctoral candidate at the Jakes Divinity School and serves on the board of Women in Film, Los Angeles, an organization that advocates for and advances the careers of women working in the screen industries to achieve parity and transform culture.
